The GK99 is another great addition to the G&G GT Advanced range of airsoft replicas. Not content with producing the same rifles as the rest of the airsoft market, they have produced the worlds first RK 95 airsoft replica.
The real steel RK 95 is a 7.62◊39mm Finnish assault rifle adopted by the Finnish Defence Forces in the 1990s and it is widely regarded as the ultimate evolution of the AK-47.
G&Gís airsoft version of the RK 95 shares many of its advanced design features such as the SIG inspired folding tubular stock and the FN inspired muzzle break/flash hider. There is also an improved rear sight and charging handle. The mag well area has a different appearance to its progenitor and features a revised and streamlined design.
The handguard has a rippled textured surface to augment the operatorís grip during extreme environmental conditions such as a bit of drizzle on a Sunday afternoon. The battery compartment can be accessed by turning the large cap at the front of the handguard. The business end of the gun looks superb, the gas block has been brilliantly replicated and the muzzle break really does give the gun an aggressive demeanor.
At the heart of this beast you will find a pre-upgraded version 3 gearbox with blowback function for added realism. The gearbox itself has steel gears and 8mm ball bearings for increased longevity. G&Gís excellent hop unit and inner barrel give this gun a very good accuracy at range. Although the AEG is long it isnít unwieldy due to the low profile design, and if needs arise the stock can be folded to one side which will allow improved maneuverability in confined spaces. All in all this is an excellent AEG that is a skirmishing powerhouse straight out of the box.
