The Aug, produced by Steyr Mannlicher GES was originally produced when european countries were considering changing from 7.62mm to 5.56mm ammunition in the early 1970's. The Austrian army requested the design of a new and unique assault rifle to Steyr GES. They adopte the bullpup design and built a light and compact rifle - the Aug. At present today the Aug is in use by Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Saudi Arabia. It is also used by some US and UK police forces. Popular - huh!

The Steyr Aug is most famous for drawing looks because of it's odd design. The trigger on the Aug has a unique mechanism, allowing semi and automatic fire by pulling the trigger different distances. It permits field stripping, making it the first model of it's kind. It has the highest reputation as one of the most superior designs amongst bullpup rifles. The Special Receiver model can accept any optical device for flexability when gaming.

i said i would give it a second review after my skirmish and all i can really say is its bloody fantastic, accurate is an understatement. its comfy to use and had no feed issues at all, a minor high cap mag issue was easily fixing with a 'gentle' loving tap, again the iron sights got a bit hard to use after it got a little darker and i fight mainly in cqb. all in all worth the money and the little extra for the M100 goes a long long way!!!

This rifle is top quality. I give it a full thumbs up, it comes well packaged and with all the bits and bobs you would expect, a quick and clean delivery from zeroone and there tech/customer service has been outstanding. As for the rifle, i went for the M100 upgrade , metal bushings and bigger spring to make the rifle a little more meaty, the rifle has proved very accurate although not taken it too a skirmish yet, but just used it for target practice (cans and such) and hasnt missed the mark yet! only issue so far is the 'iron' sights, they feel cheap and are made of plastic, and are rather annoying to zero accurately, apart from that its been perfect every step of the way, got a skirmish in 3 days, will update the review then

This is an amazing gun, the quality is great, which you expect with a TM. Out of the box it is accurate, light, really well balanced in the shoulder and the roof is not bad. I have modified mine, all strengthened internals, m100 spring, tight barrel etc and a 11.1v lipo, it is a beast. the other feature about this gun that rates it above many others for accuracy is the bullpup config. If I can't hit a bravo through the bushes with one shot then this baby will make a hole through the bush to get him! Highly recommended gun to anyone, looks a bit odd but you will fall in love.

A really nice gun - looks odd compared to the standard M4 types, but why join in with the crowd! Slightly long for CQB, and mag changing can be a little interesting. The weight balance is nice - so much so that it is possible to use one handed :-). Used by the Irish, New Zealand and Australian forces this makes for a nice different but modern loadout. Highly recommended

I got the AUG the other week and took it out for the first time today - what an awesome rifle. It's taken me a year in airsoft to figure out that it sin't about the fps, it's about the internals and the quality of the gun. Chrono'd at 275 with .25's I was hitting targets at 80 metres, consistently. I have owned ICS, ACM, G&G but from now on I'm Marui all the way. It felt great, sounded great and shot like a dream.
