A very mixed bag unfortunately. The good points are the gun externals are very robust, the plastic the body is made from is very thick and sturdy plastic and feels solid. The upper is cast as a single piece, unlike the old two part TM designs, so no creaking and squeaking here! The finish on the externals is also good. A not so good point is the 4 position rear sight on my example only clicks into 3 positions and jams on the smallest apeture. Now the major flaw, the performance is rubbish, specifically the Rate of fire, though the fps only appears to be average. Tested on the following batteries i got the following rate of fires; 8.4v nimh 580rpm 9.6v nimh 680rpm 2cell lipo 460rpm!!!!! 3 cell lipo 860rpm As you can see the gun is pretty much unuseable on anything but a 3s lipo, and the trigger response in semi is glacially slow & the gun seems to draw so many amps, batteries do not last long.

I bought this as a cqb gun as I currently only have assault rifles and snipers. When this gun arrived it was very well packaged and wrapped, after taking it out and having a good feel of it the gun is very solid, much better than other abs made guns and felt fantastic, the nylon fibre body has a real nice texture and look to it not like shiney abs. After playing a full days skirmish with this gun I was wowed by its performance, out of the box with no upgrades the GPs was a consistent 328 and the range on it is amazing, it easily had the same range if not better than both my upgraded assault rifles. Rate of fire for an SMG is good and the blowback gives it a nice sound when firing. Couldn't recommend this gun more for amateurs and pro's alike. Fantastic gun, fantastic price and fantastic service from zero one.

Bought this as my first AEG. It's absolutely awesome. Despite it being polymer it is very sturdy and has a nice matte finish. Some players on my site even mistook it for metal. Performance wise mine was firing at 340 fps with .2g bbs. I used 0.25g bbs during the skirmish and with a little adjustment to the hop unit it was easily lifting them out to 50+ metres. The rate of fire on a 8.4v 3700maH is great without feeling like overkill or that you're wasting ammunition. It also has the benefit of being able to last all day. The only real downside is the 40 round magazine that it comes with. I bought a box of the 95 round Ares midcap magazines (again from zero one) to use and they have worked flawlessly. Just remember to get a speedloader :). Great service from Zero One too, will definitely be buying again.

This is a little cracker of a gun! Bought this a couple of months ago as my first AEG and I can't fault it. The polymer body is really sturdy and has a nice matt finish... no nasty shiny stuff here! ROF is good even with an 8.4 battery. Fps consistently 335-338 out of the box. Hop-up is effective and really easy to adjust... a slight tweak will see you scoring hits at 50m+. The mag included with the gun feeds really well but 40 rounds won't get you far when it all kicks off. That's the only downside to this gun and a hi-cap or a few mid-caps will soon sort it. To quote one of the "pro's" at my site, "I can't believe you got such a good gun for so little money!" I think that says it all! See that button that says "add to basket"? Click it. Now.

First AEG that I've purchased and so far I've been impressed! The box: The box is nicely detailed, with an image of the actual gun on the box. The gun is packed well, but the casing holding the gun is made of thin plastic and not polystyrene . In the box: You the MP5, a 40 round metal magazine, cleaning rod, speed loader and manual. There is no battery included with the gun, so you'll need an 8.4 3700Mah large type battery (which is inserted into the stock) The gun itself: The gun is great! Brought a smile to my face the first time I fired it and heard the blowback. Has a nice weight to it, but you do get a bit of rattle with the battery in the stock, but this can be solved by putting something into the stock IE foam something along those lines. Semi-auto fire is smooth accurate and burst fire is short-lived, so make sure you go for a mid or high-cap magazine. Unsure about the FPS of the gun as I've yet to have it chrono'd Pros: +Sounds great +Feels solid and not cheap +Has a 4-sided selectable iron sight +Accurate +Lots of parts available from G&G as front hand grip is removable and stock can be modified to a folding stock or some other. +Great price for what you get, better than a lot of cheaper AEG's. Cons: -Feeding problem with mag. Last 2-3 BB's will not feed and fall out when reloading -Will run out of BB's quickly if using the 40 round mag on full auto.

I have the metal version of this, which is exactly the same, except metal, obviously... I'd have to say it's the best gun I've ever bought, the metal one cost me about £220 and I've had it just over a year. Of the 10+ guns I've been through, this is the only one that I've never felt the need to do anything to, no need for any upgrades whatsoever. Accuracy, rate of fire, feel and just performance in general are truly flawless. My only minor niggle with this is that it's slightly lacking in range if you're in a woodland scenario, but that's nothing a tight bore barrel upgrade wouldn't fix. It's a weapon built for CQB and it does that extremely well, 30m headshots are a breeze with this thing. To top it off the recoil on this thing is awesome, it's pneumatic so unlike other systems it puts no added strain on the gearbox at all, it looks awesome when you're shooting and it makes an awesome noise too. I can't recommend this highly enough.
