When G&G first told us they were developing a new gas blow back pistol that contained a revolutionary rotating valve system we got very excited indeed! The promise of an awesome replica that can still operate even though it’s literally freezing sounds like music to our ears, especially with our temperamental weather.
After what seemed like an eternity the pistols have finally touched down, and they do not disappoint. Greeted by stylish black pistol case emblazoned with the G&G Armament logo, we couldn’t wait to give it a go. The contents are very nicely laid out in the case, the pistol, magazine, speedloader and instruction manual are all excellently presented and held securely in place.
Moving onto the main event, the pistol itself. It is fantastic. The balance and weight in hand feels near perfect. The finish is outstanding, the slide locks back crisply and the magazine gives a resounding metallic clank when it’s inserted. The textured grips feel great and will surely aid the user’s operation in the aforementioned temperamental weather. The large trigger guard will allow operation whilst wearing gloves whilst the trigger itself is crisp and responsive.
The metal frame features subdued G&G trademarks which give a nice touch but aren’t overbearing enough to put off purists who like realistic markings. The safety catch locks satisfyingly into place and features the obligatory red markings when the weapon is hot. The pistol also features a lanyard loop as you do not want to lose this beauty!
So what sets this pistol apart from its competitors? Aside from the superior build quality and feel of the gun, the ‘Whirl Cylinder Valve’ is truly a truly impressive feat of design and engineering. The valve reduces frost to build up inside the gun by having high speed rotation, so not only do you get great performance, you can skirmish it in most weather conditions.
