I purchased my 5.1 Hi capa on the basis that it is one of the best pistol modders around. As a standard gun it shoots great and has superb range and accuracy. If I was new to airsoft and could only have one pistol then this is your gun. Dont bother with the 4.3 hi capa, as the 5.1 is better in my opinion. If you want to mod this gun, you will end up with a pistol that can out range and out shoot most aeg's, be warned, modded parts dont come cheap, but you get what you pay for. Zeroone always gives great service and of note, be careful with green gas in the summer with this pistol as it has a plastic slide and outer barrel, dont let that put you off, it is a great pistol. :-) |

I got one of these as my 1st pistol a year-ish ago, and i have to say its a truly awesome gun. I now have a TM PX4 and a TM G17 Custom aswell (once you go marui, theres no other brand) these are also great guns too, however this hi capa has the hardest kick of them all, making it feel the most powerfull. During the colder months there was a drop in power as expected but i could still get a full mag out per gas fill when other peoples pistols would only vent all the gas out, and my PX4 really struggled to cycle. In the warmer months this gun comes into its own, i can get 80+ rounds per fill.. this is using abbey ultra all year round, so its very good... if not the best for gas usage.
like all marui guns its very easy to strip, extremely reliable (loadsa guys i know run propane all year round in stock TM's) and parts/upgrades are readilly available. My only gripe would be its a bit long and grip heavy due to the weighted mags, but saying that now im used to it, its my go-to side arm... and i love it. Another thing the 5.1 mag has a ugly thick base plate, i dont like them much so i tend to buy the 4.3 mags with a thinner base plate, as they are totaly interchangable and are only about 2 rounds less. In short, if you want a hard kicking pistol that fires all year round, has great gas consumption, is extremely reliable and is a good price stop reading and buy one... any price under £125 is a bargain. :) |
