The MC51 by G&G is based on a very long serving assault rifle family whose origins can be traced back as far as the 1950's. The tried and tested formula has been transplanted to this rough and ready RIF that was also amongst the first models of airsoft AEG to be produced.
So how does this oft venerated gun hold up alongside more recent weapons? Well, rather well actually. The MC51 is an intermediate size, not too big nor too small so it's suited to most types of combat scenarios. The solid stock & folding stock are both easy to shoulder. It's clear that the folding stock will win out in a CQB environment, however the fixed stock version can hold a large battery whilst the folding stock variant takes a small battery in the foregrip. There is no flex whatsoever and the gun maintains a comforting rigidity. The magazine is easy to change out and it can hold 500 rounds! Of course midcaps are available if you prefer a more realistic approach.
One of the nicest features of this gun are the metal components. The iron sights, muzzle break, mag release, sling points, trigger and fire selector all feature a slightly bronzed hue which look very realistic as are the welding lines on the receiver.
The MC51 is a GT Advanced model, so you know that the internals are going to be top notch. The gearbox is a reinforced version 3 with 8mm ball bearings which is powered by a high torque motor. Not only will this gun outperform, it will last the distance.
