We had been holding our collective breath in anticipation for this new arrival, and we can quite happily say we weren't disappointed. Armorer Works call it the VX01, we have a alternative name, ''the prettiest Glock in the world'.
Upon opening the box you'll be greeted with a gun of outstanding manufacturing prowess. The CNC machined slide is simply amazing. The engravings and hex-cut barrel give such a distinctive look to the weapon.
The cuts in the barrel reduce the front end weight which gives the gun an excellent balance, and therefore creates a superior shooting platform and promotes improved target acquisition. The inner barrel has simple yet distinctive markings that tie in beautifully with hex cut slide. The ejection port is stamped with Armorer Works on the side and their logo on the top. The rear of the slide also features a rubberised logo, again just a small feature that demonstrates Armorer Works attention to detail, but it's not just all about the looks.
The main body is manufactured from polymer and features an enhanced stippled surface for use in all weather conditions. The hex cut pattern is also prevalent on the grip and even skeletonised for weight saving, and well, awesome looks. The magwell is enhanced for easier magazine changes and the trigger guard has finger grooves for two-handed shooting.
Shooting this pistol is an experience in itself. The performance for the cost is incredible. The recoil is crisp, strong and decisive. Cool down is also minimal compared to most other pistol, even during rapid firing. Gas economy for the weight of the gun is very good due to the reduced weight slide. With the roots of the gun firmly planted in competitive pistol shooting, accuracy is outstanding.
