Mess tins. Did you know one is a lid.. yes it's true. This will avoid steam leaving which is precious brew water. It also means the food cooks faster.
So what else can you do other than cook. The them together a run paracord as a trip wire. They clank together so you know your position is been breached.
Tea bagging the rear will clean off all the dirt before you pack it away. Used tea bag, still wet.
Used them for years. Never a problem.

Mess tins are great.....stable on stoves and cookers alike. Hard waring. If you dent them it doesn't really matter too much. Compact, easy to use. Part of the essential kit if you're a cadet.
