Every once in a while, an AEG comes along that makes us stop in our tracks, look at it and go "NIIICE", and the Ares MSR-SOC AEG is DEFINITELY one of those AEG's...

The first thing you'll notice is the superb build quality, weight and feel of the MSR-SOC, it really IS that good! Weighing in at around 6kg's, this is clearly not designed for a "Run & Gun" play style, however Ares have included everything an Operator needs to deploy and fire accurately from a stationary position, such as the Foldable Bipod, Adjustable Monopod built directly into the Pistol grip (a feature we can't recall seeing before in an Airsoft gun), height adjustable Cheek Rest, rubberised Shoulder Rest and a full length. 20mm RIS Rail for attaching all manner of Optics.

Ares have clearly positioned the MSR-SOC as the ideal base platform for a DMR/Sniper build, given that it's locked to Single Shot only out of the box, along with the DMR/Sniper-centric features detailed above. A nice, if unusual touch, given the MSR-SOC's intended role, is the inclusion of an in built Laser Module, situated at the front of the Main Receiver. Powered by two AAA batteries housed in the main receiver, the Laser is controlled by an On/Off button located just in front of the Trigger guard, for easy access.

A contoured/textured Pistol Grip, adjustable Hop Up, Ambidextrous Fire Selector & removable Flash Hider round out what is, undoubtedly, a VERY impressive AEG package. The included Instruction Manual deserves a special mention as not only does it give clear, detailed instruction on every player operated function, it also includes a detailed, exploded parts diagram thats actually readable. Bonus points to Ares!
