I've had my G&G M14 for six months now and it is, without doubt, the best AEG I've owned. The range and accuracy is such that although I was considering changing the barrel / changing the hop rubber etc I haven't touched it. Shoots around 320fps on a .25 BB and accurate to over 50m, it's a solid gun. The only downsides are that it weights a tonne (I actually think this is a positive but if you're coming from a plastic M4, you're in for a shock) so a rifle sling is a must for all the hanging around you do waiting for games to start etc, and the mags aren't cheap. Otherwise perfect in every way

Really impressed with this rifle! I've used it at two different skirmishes now and I haven't got there slightest complaint about it. In terms of authenticity, it is absolutely spot on. The wooden stock is beautiful and quickly gets a used look after even one day; don't expect to keep the stock pristine as I already have dents and kicks but it just adds to the look. Asides from the wood, everything else is metal and has a lovely weight to it. It is balanced fairly well and is not uncomfortable to shoulder in a firefight, but prolonged use may start to become noticeable. The blot catch works beautifully and has a solid metallic sound to it, and yes it does lock back and release properly.
The magazines for this rifle (G&G and CA variety) are much harder to find and more expensive than the TM styled rifles but don't let that put you off. Internally, it is fairly easy to strip down until you have the gearbox left - I haven't opened that up yet as stock it is shooting very well. With a M100 spring it was showing around 320fps.
The hop up is very good and when tuned correctly gives some very good results. Whilst I can't give an exact accuracy figure, don't worry about being outranged by many guys out there. I have replaced the barrel with a common branded tight bore but the stock barrel is a very good brass quality product (509mm length, not 100% sue on the diameter).
Overall, extremely happy with the M14 and if you are even slightly considering this, please make the jump! It is both a beautiful rifle to shoot and also a eye catcher on the field - expect lots of comments coming your way.
