The E-Lite is a 160 hour disposable identification unit with a velcro backing. Most commonly applied to the top or back of the helmet, it shows your team mates where you are in the dark of night so that you don't attract a torrent of a friendly fire when operating near the enemy. The unit is encased in a one-piece silicone shell, making it completely water tight and rugged.

When the battery finally dies, it can be replaced, but, it would mean cutting into the silicone which would be done at user discretion and will effect the products water resistance.
